  • August incentives for donating to ACPP

    The Authentic Campaigner Preservation Project is happy to provide the following incentives to donors who give money to the ACPP in the month of August.

    1) The first donation of $30 in August to the CVBT or STFB will receive a set of the official NPS troop movement maps for the Battle of Chancellorsville. The set consists of 12 maps, in full color and detailed down to the regimental level, depicting the movements of the armies over the period May 1 – 3, 1863. (donated by Eric Mink) (Claimed by Mark Boynton)

    2) The first donaton of $50 in August to the CVBT or STFB will receive a hardback copy of noted CW author, Gary W. Gallagher's edited book entitled Chancellorsville: The Battle and Its Aftermath (Chapel Hill: The University of North Carolina Press, 1996).

    The book is a collection of essays, each addressing a specific topic on the battle and/or campaign. The essays are:

    Re: August incentives for donating to ACPP

    I received three donations already for August. I will wait to hear from the donors as to which incentive they will claim and then post it on the thread. I hope that the lack of incentives will not deter people from giving to the organizations.

    Thanks

      The essay book and both manuals have been claimed. Mark Boynton has first crack at the map set. Will let everyone know if it is taken by Mark.

      Thanks to Brent and Dave for their contributions.

          Greg Starbuck kepi/forage cap up for grabs

          Greg, on another post, said;

          "As an additional incentive, I will custom make an enlisted CS kepi OR a US forage cap for the person who first donates $75.00 to the ACPP project. Claim this incentive by posting on this message, send Dusty the check, send me your choice, size, etc."

          First donation of $75 gets a fine Starbuck cap for their impression. (Claimed by Paul Hadley)

          Thanks Greg

            Re: August incentives for donating to ACPP

            This is not a monetary incentive, but I wanted to illustrate that any money donated to CVBT and STFB will be used, hopefully, in the near future. Recent stories at Chancellorsville and Franklin (see Preservation Forum for details) show that key land acquisitions will be happening in the near future.

            Donations to the ACPP will ensure that there is money available to these organizations when opportunities arise to acquire land to help interpret the battles in Virginia and Tennessee.

            Please give if you are able.
