    Neill -

    It's interesting that Huses' Commission of 2 1/2% was noted here as £70 s5 p6 but then lined out and listed as an error. Commission doesn't appear as a line item on the other two invoices. Does it appear elsewhere in the collection?

    That's over $6,000 by todays standards if I understand the conversion correctly - as noted by Dave Burt and John Hopper.

      Paul,

      You are correct. Many of the documents reflect such a commission; it's almost like paying oneself. If I'm not mistaken, this method of commissions and the rumors of "double books" are what got I&C on the radar of the CS government. Luckily, many of the McRae documents deal with the arbitrator and the discussions of recifying accounts. So much to delve into when the time is right.
