Wanna Be on the May Cover of the AC?

Greetings Everyone:

Yes, it is that time of the month again - April 20th. So, Do You Wanna be on the May Cover of the Authentic Campaigner?

We are looking for images that best-exemplify the look of the authentic living historian. Images taken with period technology only are required (wet plate, pencil drawing, field sketches, etc.) If you have submitted an image within the last year, please refrain from submitting. Let's give a chance to those who haven't previously submitted. Thank you.

Submission Guidelines:

1) We will accept the first ten image submissions only. The thread will be closed after the tenth image is submitted, and any images submitted after the tenth will be deleted from the thread.

2) Once we have ten images, the staff will select the final three. The final three will then be put up for a general vote to the membership of the forum. The winning image will be placed on the front "cover" of the web site for one month.

3) Make sure and attach the photo to your post. If necessary, we will crop the photo for the best fit.

4) The Moderators/Administrators reserve the right to remove any submittals that they feel don't meet the standards of the Authentic Campaigner.

Well, I thought I'd give this a go.:)

This image was taken by William Dunniway at the Columbia Diggins' event (Columbia, CA) in June 2006. My fiancee (Chandra Miller) and I are portraying a typical couple circa 1849.

Everyone:

I've been cleaning the house and just checked in on the thread. Remember that if you have submitted an image in the last year to please let others submit. I'll ask that if you have an image in here that has been submitted in the last year to let me know and I will remove it. We just need to make sure and give those who haven't submitted before a fair shot and keep things fresh. Thanks!

That is the ninth image, so we have one more to go. There are a couple in here that have been submitted within the last year. I will ask that we maintain the honor system. That is, if you know that your image has been submitted recently, just shoot me a PM and I will cleanly remove it. I should clarify that it is not the person who has previously submitted, but the specific image. We just need to keep things fresh. I will check back early tomorrow. In the mean time, please only submit one more to give us ten for now. Thanks everyone.

All right folks, one image that was submitted within the last year has been deleted, so we have one slot open for a new one. Just shoot me a PM if your image is in the current group and has been submitted within the last year.

Just for clarification, the same person can submit different images throughout the course of a year. We just don't want to vote on the exact same ones over and over. Thanks! :)
