  • Vivian Murphy--Newest Approved Vendor!

    Hello all--

I'm happy to announce that Vivian Murphy has been approved as a vendor here on the Authentic Campaigner! Mrs. Murphy's fine work (as well as a collection of original item images) can be viewed at her website:

If you have need of nice things for your family's citizen impression, do take a look at her work, and contact her about your next wardrobe project.

(And don't forget to visit the link for AC Approved Vendors in the top navigation bar of the forum--it's a great resource, to which Mrs. Murphy will be a gracious addition.)
    Regards,
    Elizabeth Clark

I have several items of Mrs. Murphy's fine work. She's a great addition to the line up!

She is a talented seamstress and dedicated historian--she's also has the ability to fit properly from correctly taken measurements alone.

Just a very brief, singular BUMP for those who may not have seen this originally--Mrs. Murphy is taking commissions for women's and children's clothing (skin out!).

That is really good news. I am the proud owner of some of Vivian's excellent millinery and have seen lots of her wonderful work first hand. Her bonnets, parasols, and gowns are a great addition to the AV list. Congratulations, dear Vivian!

Thank you to all you great people on the AC. I very much look forward to designing and creating for you and your families.
About the time I applied for approved vendor, I fell at a living history event at Boonesfield and broke my wrist so my sewing skills have been very limited. I'm happy to say that I will get my cast off this Wed. and plan to "hit the ground running" :)

To all my old friends as well as new ones
            Fond Regards
            Vivian Murphy

                Vivian,

I'm glad to hear your re-habilitation is progressing satisfactorily. I s'pect sewing will leave your wrist a bit sore for a few day! Looking forward to seeing you in St. Louis over the 4th.
