    To all my AC compatriots,

So I have some rather exciting news. After the last few months of work and discussion, my good chum Jason Adams and I have taken ownership of Civil War Historian Magazine. A while ago we were approached by Patrick Ertel, as he was in the process of either selling the magazine or shutting it down completley. I was around when CWH started and worked with my good friend Matt in the early days of the publication…further I truly believe that our little family deserves this publication. So, here we are owning a magazine! I hope that all of you that have had a pipeline to me regarding the AC, will still feel you have that same direct pipeline regarding CWH. I want to hear from you, see what you’re writing and what you are interested in reading, and give the whole hobby the sort of publication that we really need.

I’ll be serving as the editor, so if you have any questions, comments, or submissions feel free to get a hold of me. Jason will be handling circulation and advertising and is equally eager to hear from you. Feel free to drop us a line anytime, or hit us up the next time you see us in the field.

    Justin Runyon

    Great News!!

I remember stumbling upon my "first" issue when my wife and I were on a weekend trip to the coast. We were waiting for place to open and killing time in Mr. Paperback (local Maine book store 'chain') and saw it peeking out behind the usual CW magazines. I picked it up, flipped through and knew that this was the magazine I was looking for. My wife said I was like a little kid. :)

Best of luck to you two in this great endeavor and may the magazine flourish and bring more smiles to more “kids” faces!!

        "What, What, WHAT?"

I wondered why there's been little word from Runyon of late. I thought it was pre wedding jitters.

Will it have a centerfold now?

I might just have to renew the thing.

        Best of Luck!

Just so you don't miss anything, you should know that Ertel Publishing had pulled it from news stands and we have no immediate plans to put it back on.
