Re: Vote For the December Cover

I had a tough time between 1 and 2, although 3 was also very good. This is one of the hardest to choose from in a while but I chose 2 because they just have that 19th century look to them and we don’t get that many field music shots.

Number 2 it is. We actually took the photo right from page 226 in the CS EOG. We tried to set it up as authentically as we could.

                Another wonderful set of choices!

While I like # 2 quite a bit. I'd have to go with # 3 . The Fighting Boys take a good picture, and from knowing each of them, they definately live up to their mess name.

The picture definately shows their love of country, hearth, and home.

Tight contest this month. All are good. #1 elicited a visceral reaction, and thus I voted for it.

Wow, how many electoral votes does my state get? This is a close election -- a true popular vote will decide the issue. Glad to see three really nice choices. Well done.

They are all excellent images but # 1 gets my vote.
I stood a few feet away and saw this image being made and it brings back wonderful memories of marching thru Loudoun County.

                        Great image Brandon.

My vote goes to #2. Those are some handsome young fellas. Personally, I'm sick of seeing EVERY fed guy wearing hardee hats, we get the point, you want to look different..

I think #2 is superior - the band musicians are a nice change and their impressions are spot on, easily capturing that image in EoG that we all know, along with its comradery. The picture itself is great - its not perfect (being a little off-centre) but is a believable studio shot. I dislike alot of field photos - they're too perfect in most cases but thats just my opinion. Photos 1 & 2 are also great though - too me #3 comes a close second - a believable shot but they seem a little too serious, but again just a personal opinion. Whoever wins deserves it though!
