"Those fine fellows in Virginia are pouring out their heart's blood like water. Virginia will be heroic dust--the army of glorious youth that has been buried there."--Mary Chesnut
I'd vote for your image in a heartbeat... It looks very period and looks to be something new on here. It tells part of the War that few people know about. History, for me, is so enjoyable because of the suprises one finds in it.
It reminds me of Joseph Pierce of the 14th Connecticut Infantry who was a veteran of the Battle of Gettysburg.

Well, we have our ten. Jason, Yours and Thomas' images were #11 and #12, so they won't be included in the voted images this month, but I will leave them up to be viewed.
To your point on new images being submitted, to get new ones in the mix, we have asked that the ones that have already been submitted can't be re-submitted. The only advice I can offer is that almost always, I ask for submittals on the 20th of each month. Generally, I try to do it in the afternoon on the 20th. If we start accepting more images, people will still submit more than whatever number we come up with.
For anyone who wants to submit every month, it is always in this folder and (almost) always on the 20th of the month.
Thanks to everyone who submitted. The Focus Group will select the final three, which will be up four days from now.
