  • Wanna Be on the March Cover?

    Greetings Everyone:

Well, it is the 20th of the month. So, the question is, "Do You Wanna Be on the March Cover of the Authentic Campaigner?"

We are looking for images that best-exemplify the look of the authentic living historian. Images taken with period technology only are required (wet plate, pencil drawing, field sketches, etc.) Please refrain from submitting an image that you have submitted within the last year. We are continuously looking for fresh images and have a few days to gather the candidates. Thanks!

    Submission Guidelines:

    1) We will accept the first ten image submissions only. The thread will be closed after the tenth image is submitted, and any images submitted after the tenth will be deleted from the thread.

    2) Once we have ten images, the staff will select the final three. The final three will then be put up for a general vote to the membership of the forum. The winning image will be placed on the front "cover" of the web site for one month.

    3) Make sure and attach the photo to your post. If necessary, we will crop the photo for the best fit.

    4) The Moderators/Administrators reserve the right to remove any submittals that they feel don't meet the standards of the Authentic Campaigner.

Now, let's see your best images!

This is a photo by Mr Decker of Brian Hicks and myself. It's not based on any one photo just made to mimic ones of pards during the war.

      Kiev,

You wouldn't happen to have a larger version of that image? The small size doesn't do it justice, I fear.

          I like this image,
I do not know if she will have the same effect for you and if she will correspond to the criteria of selections, but I find her ghostly...

                Hello,
This is an image of some of the Dippin Gourds at South Union, Ky harrassing one of the Shakers for food and cloth! The Image was made by Tim Parson and was taken in front of the 1846 Ministry shop, this image is based off the Journal entry written by Elderess Nancy Moore from this house about confederate soldiers who were constantly knocking at the door for food and cloth during 1861-62 until the Federal Army entered the area and they began to knock at the door! In this Image you will find Heather Vernon, Kaelin Vernon, Cliff Kelley, Jon Harris, Evan Sisley
