The photo below was taken by Rob Gibson of Gettysburg, PA, last April after the Malvern Hill living history. From left to right they are Bill Skillman, myself, Chad Fuller, and Dan Wambaugh. We portrayed a squad from Company F, 1st U.S. Sharpshooters, and gave interpretive talks and skirmishing/firing by the bugle demos at Malvern Hill. Our uniforms and gear that weekend were based completely on several surviving accounts of Company F men; green caps, blouses, mostly blue trousers, and hardly a scrap of equipment or spare clothing.

I loosely based our pose on the second photo below which depicts Cpl. William Henderson, Co. K 1st U.S.S.S..
