I'll second Grumpy Dave's "Union AOP, any time, any place sentiment".

Second is late war, generic, Western Federal.

Confederate impression is a real work in progress. . . .

Mostly ANV Early-Mid War (Manassas Militias to Chancellorsvilles Battalions)

Some Late war (Wilderness to Appomatox) ANV

            Acquiring slowly an AOP impression

I'm another obvious civilian :) --my first person (when the event/living history permits it) is a middle class young lady who attended the college (in the North) where I now go, from about 1862-1864...otherwise I'm a middle class lady with Union loyalties. On occassion I'm lowerclass as well...

Difficult choice-Id have to go with three things-
                              1. Generic Army of the Potomac infantryman, during the 2nd Mann. Antietam campaign/disaster.
                              2. Infantry turned artilleryman during the same period(theres a story there)
                              3. Late war ANV.

Maby il pick up some western stuff one day.
