Re: John Crabb on the cover

I was hoping this would be so.

Eric, there is an exceptionally fine image that should be already in files--one of John, Beth, and, if I recall correctly, their granddaughter, submitted as a possible cover a couple of years ago.

Re: John Crabb on the cover

Regardless of the high repute Mr. Crabb appears to have in the community, it's a darn fine photograph in its own right and thus fitting tribute.

Re: John Crabb on the cover

I have many fond memories of John ( Shiloh, Marmadukes, etc.) but probably my
favorite was from Fort Duffield 2006, where Joe L. and the boys of the "sutler patrol"
taught me the fundiments of picket duty ~ John must have laughed heartily as they
perused his wares and told him the tale.
John was a good man, and a great friend. I can think of no higher praise.

Re: John Crabb on the cover

I never got to meet Bro. Crabb in person. I did talk with him over the phone while ordering some tin ware. I have been away from the Website due to some health problems. I was sad to read of his passing. I know that I join the other members of the Widow's Son's in conveying our deepest sympathies to his family. Bro. Crabb, May the Wind Always Be At Your Back!
