I wanted to give you a all a brief update as to where we are in relation to getting the AC back up to speed.
The Help Desk - there's still a permissions issue relative to the help desk. Ideally, if you make a post there, only you the mods and the admin team can see it. But that hasn't been the case. I'm doing some house-cleaning and will hopefully get to the bottom of it soon.
The Links Page - I've got the new software downloaded and ready to install the new upgrade. I just have to find the time (preferably late at night) where I can shut the site down for awhile, take a backup and apply the upgrade. Look for that in the next week.
New CMS - Our CMS (Content Management System) is still a work in progress. The front page will be changing soon with some new additions, etc. While it probably won't look exactly like our old home page, it'll be similar.
Articles - As most of you know, we have a fairly large repository of research articles and editorial articles. Most of them are located in the links pages (see above) - soon we'll have them cross posted in our articles section which will have a directory on our home page.
Events Updates - Eric has resigned from the permission of running the events approval, etc. We hope to have a new person in place this week.
Graphics Admin - Again, with Eric's departure we'll be adding someone capable of taking care of the graphics issues and such that come up around here. Several folks have contacted me and we'll be making some decisions on that very soon.
Other known issues - as a result of the upgrade, currently vbArmy and the chatroom are non-functional. There may be other issues that are non-functional as well. I don't have an ETA on getting them back up and running.
We'll keep you all updated as things progressed.
