For those interested,
Nick Medich will be conducting a classroom session on the school of the battalion on February 18th, 2012 at Conner Prairie, Fishers, Indiana from 10:00am to 3:00pm. This will be a classroom session, so attendees will not be "drilling" and you should plan to attend in your modern "street" clothes, not in period dress.
This educational session is open to any reenactors, union or confederate, who would like to enhance their knowledge of the school of the battalion, as well as duties of officers and NCO's. Class size is limited, so please see the attached poster for RSVP and other information.

This same weekend, in Noblesville, Indiana, the Conner Rifles will be holding their annual Antique Arms Show at the National Guard Armory. This show is a little misnamed because it features no only antique firearms and other weapons, but dealers in cloth (that some of you know quite well), books, as well as other antiques that would be of interest to folks who frequent this site. In previous years, I purchased my "cup in hand" clay pipe, as well as the buttons for the frock I wore to Manassas last year.
The show ends at 6pm on Saturday, so there is time for both the class and the show.
