The Company of Military Historians will be hosting their annual conference at Gettysburg this year on April 18-20 at the Eisenhower Hotel & Conference Center. The Company is composed of museum directors, curators, conservators, historians, professors, rangers, writers, researchers, collectors and plain folks like ourselves. You get to meet these people and despite their renown, they are very down to earth and humble people who are very open and happy to share information.
They'll be visiting the Seminary Ridge Museum (which hasn't opened to the public yet), three days of battlefield tours, and have plenty of speakers. Cost is $180 for first time attendees.
Dave Richards - "You'll have to fight like the devil" on the first day's battle and the role of prominent officers like Reynolds as well as the units, the men and their weaponry.

Juanita Leisch Jensen and Linda Duffy - A Tale of Two Cemeteries - They contrast the the experiences and activities of women in Philadelphia and Gettysburg.
