While I can't say that I'm wearing period clothing right now, I am definitely excited about this season.

Whether its the tractor or the wood pile, I'm wearing domet shirts or battle shirts that fellers have ruined in the washing machine or the dryer. Doesn't mean I'm going anywhere though.......

I'd be excited for the season if I felt there were lots of good events to get excited about. I've only got a couple on my radar, but I wish there a lot more.

More 150's: Mansfield, LA in April as the 165th NY Zouaves; Resaca, GA in May where the 6th Texas were present, and Richmond, VA in September as one of Hood's Texas Brigade. Maybe some others in between. Wish I lived closer to the where it all happened, so I could get to some more.

I'm a 4 . I can't wait for season to start, and want to do better events than all mainstream...when possible. I have reached that sad saturation point where I can think of nothing I need to make or repair. I have repacked my saddle valise at least once a week (and in the privacy of my shop...sit in my saddle) I know , pretty sad..... plm

Re: How Would You Rate Yourself?

After almost 20 years in the hobby I still have the same enthusiasm as I did when I first started. Needless to say I am excited for every re-enacting season. It gives my wife and I the opportunity to spend time with some of our closest friends. I realize that not all events are going to be perfect, but the beauty of being a part of the C/P/H community is that WE make every event great by the company we keep and experiences we create and share together.

I can only make one "back east" event this year, and I am going to Pickets Mill. I can't wait!
