I like avatars where you can see the person's face. Although the forum rule implies that all avatars should show the person's face, there are many here where the face is unrecognizable. Yup, there you are with five people. Which is you?

Knowing a face here then seeing that same face at an event is pretty kewl as you get to know who is who. The other side is that when you attend an event on your own outside your region, people know how you are. They either invite you into their camp or they cower in fear that you'll notice them.....

Offer still stands. We are getting quite a few new registrations, so if any of you new members would like a custom avatar, just post the photo here or send it to me at etinohio@msn.com. Make sure it is good quality photo of you in your period attire. It really does help putting faces to names when we are in the field.
