It has been a little while since we have posted a poll, so let's dive in. With all of the change in living history over the last few years, I am curious about the living history experience of those who visit the AC. We have a cross-section of campaign veterans, newbies and those who have been around for a while, but finally decided to take the plunge and do a campaign event. So, take the poll and let us know a little about your living history experience. Your feedback is valuable, so please feel free to share your perspective.

Re: What is Your Lving History Experience?
I've only been in the hobby for about 2 years, but I've recently started moving into more "authentic" events. I've been to 2 campaigner events, one battle and one living history, and I will probably only go to campaigner events from now on. I would say moving into authentic reenacting has changed me for the better.Ben Beckman
17 and been a living historian for 2 years. New to this side of the hobby, always looking for events to go to.

Re: What is Your Lving History Experience?
I started my hobby/lifestyle three and a half years ago but started in campaigner events. I'm not sure if that makes me a "veteran campaigner" or not. I will say though it is the only way to do it and would do it no other way.Best regards,

Re: What is Your Lving History Experience?
I've only been in a hobby for five years and when I go to standard events back east tend to still go to mainstream event. Due to friends and acquaintances I look forward to seeing. However, back home in Wyoming, it seems that all we can do are campaign events. We have gotten great at traveling a few dozen miles per day while eating hardtack and bacon and a bit of rice or beans. We are short on Reenactors but if you want to walk 100+ miles in an event, we're your place. I didn't know how to answer the poll since I consider myself new to the hobby but am not curious about campaign events as I am well aware of such good events but as far as going to any actual events, our group tends to go to streamer events back east. So....I voted other.Steven Dacus

Other. I have been involved in living history off and on during my day jobs the past six years, although in those circumstances I never get to represent the Civil War era. For Civil War related living history, I have been involved for about two years but have not attended a campaigner event yet.Michael Denisovich

I am actually semi-retired. It takes campaign events to even consider coming to an event.

Re: What is Your Lving History Experience?
Was mainstream from when I first started in '99 then got into the campaigning aspect in 2001. Have been doing it since (though to be fair, due to work/kids, haven't been as active as I'd like the past few seasons...hoping to make a comeback in 2018).

Re: What is Your Lving History Experience?
I feel a natural progression in living history- I started fairly farby, progressed into a comfortable mainstream, but now am curious about improving my impression with campaigning.
I hope I am not alone in this
