The Independent Rifles will recreate a Winter Quarters scenario for 1862. This is a unique opportunity to occupy barracks built on originals specs as well as substantial outbuildings on a great historic site. This is an invite only Living History. Click Here For Information.
2) ASSAULT ON FORT BLAKELEY
Spanish Fort, Alabama
April 5-7, 2019
A unique opportunity for participants to live in and improve original fortifications, while also viewing much which has been covered with vegetation for years. This will be a very active event, giving everyone a rare taste of siege warfare in 1865. Click Here For Information.

7) 15TH ALABAMA AT GETTYSBURG
Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

The Liberty Rifles will be hosting a Living History that will be immersive in nature but with heavy public interaction through the day. We will field four companies of the 15th Alabama, as we have a cap on the number of participants. Participation at this event is by invitation only. Click Here For Information
We will portray the 57th Massachusetts Veteran Infantry, which was mustered in Worcester, MA on April 6, 1864. Four months later at the Crater, the regiment numbered seven officers and 91 enlisted. After the Crater, only a single officer and 46 enlisted remained. Click Here For Information
9) 160TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE PIG WAR
San Juan Island, Washington
August 23-25, 2019
American Camp, San Juan Island, Washington. 160th anniversary of the Pig War. Public interpretation at this NPS site. Portrayals are 4th U.S. Infantry, 1st U.S. Engineers, and U.S. Artillery at actual works dug by the troops stationed there.
10) MISSOURI 1861
Southwest Missouri
August 31 - September 1, 2019
Skirmishing and maneuvering of the Missouri State Guard and Unionist Militia after the Battle of Wilson’s Creek and before the First Battle of Springfield. A unique impression for both sides as they were armed and equipped exceedingly poorly. Click Here For Information.

The Governor Guards & Mess No. 1 present the Missionary Ridge Immersion Event in November of 2019. This event will portray the 64th Ohio and 4th Florida during the days leading up to and including the decisive assault of Missionary Ridge at the conclusion of the Chattanooga Campaign in 1863.
