  • "NEW" Campaigner Skin

    AC Member:

Now that the house is getting back in order here at the AC (mostly), I figured I would create a new skin for the AC. We lost the old "Campaigner" skin in the crash, so I re-created it for a fresh start.

The main page background is comprised of soldiers from both sides of the war. The field when you post is a collection of the winning cover images from the last year. I plan to re-post them in the Featured Images folder soon.
    • To test the new skin, go to the bottom left-hand corner and select "Campaigner" is the drop-down menu.
    • To set this as your skin, go to the "User CP" in the nav bar at the top of the page. Select "Edit Options" on the lefthand side of the page. Go all the way to the bottom and select "Campaigner" in the drop-down menu. Then hit the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page.
Let me know what you think by participating in the poll. Thanks and enjoy.

It's about impossible to read the links on the User CP page using this skin.. Or, anything you're typing for that matter.

When I first tried it, there were no images of any kind in the background, and as stated above the text color is such that it is almost impossible to read the words.

On a second attempt to see the new skin, the text is now viewable. The Picturs from the previous front covers can be seen, but are not very distinguishable.

I think it looks okay. I also like that the past months cover winners are muted. They would be more of a distraction if they stuck out like a sore thumb.~Gary

My only request is that you keep the old "Earthy" skin as an option, whatever else you add. The 2006 skins all loaded incredibly slow for me, and Earthy was no longer available at that time. The only tiny tiny glimmer of light for me in the gloom of the reversion to 2004, was getting Earthy back and having the AC load fast again.

I like it, I think the woven pattern in the background is cool. However I may switch back to Federal as I am a bit more fond of that.

I prefer the Preservation skin. It's a bit easier on the eyes.

I agree; although it is "cool," "neat," etc., it is hard to read even with bifocals. Maybe if you darken the print...

Needs more light and contrast. Can barely make out the pictures - they all look like shadows.

I agree with you here......I usually use the default setting, sometimes Federal.
Truth be told, I'm just glad the site's back up! :D Really hard to read that white page saying the site is down through tears..........

I prefer the easier to read (for me) default skin. However, having a selection is nice :)

Thanks for the feedback. I have adjusted some of the colors to create a better contrast. Still a little tinkering to do...
