    If you look at the gent in the front left corner of Image #1 ..his facial expression is flat out priceless.

    Thanks Eric, good selection of images..i always like group shots better than single person shots... the Confederates in Image #3 had a great look going .. but i am going to have to go with Image #1 just for the look in that gents face.

      It was a hard choice, but i went with number 1. I liked all the different facial expressions, including the one Jared just mentioned.

      Good choices eric!

      Cheers,

          #2 reminded me most of the original portraits. I'll have to go with that.

            I think that this has been some of the best three in awhile. Very tough choice. I really like #1. As people said before, the facial expressions are priceless.

              I went for #2 mainly because the 'white star' Corps badge worn on the shoulder is well documented but rarely seen in the hobby - good job!

                My background info for my image>>>>

                Ferrotype taken May 20, 2007at Resaca, Ga by Wendell Decker.

                Representing the 7th Ohio, Co K., Hooker's XX Corps, 2nd Div.;

                "The 7th Ohio was formed in 1861 and for many of it's original members the Battle of Resaca, May 13 1864, was their last action before being discharged from service. The 7th Ohio was assigned to Col. Charles Candy's 1st Brigade of Gen. John Geary's 2nd Division of Hooker's XX Army Corps (White stars) just prior to the Battle of Resaca. Before that they had been in the 1st Brigade, 2nd Division of the XII Army Corps. At the time of Resaca Co. K had only 33 members with 1/3 of those being officers and NCOs."

                As a member of the largest Federal company at Resaca last weekend, the Armory Guards portrayed the 7th Ohio. This is what this photo represents.

                    #2 for me. The corps badge (as already mentioned) is one reason. The other is the hair cut. So many of us struggle with getting that part of our impression right.
