  • Wanna Be on the February Cover of the AC?

    Greetings:

Wanna be on the February Cover of the Authentic Campaigner? We are looking for images that best-exemplify the look of the authentic living historian. Images taken with period technology only, please. (wet plate, etc.) are required. We will also accept pencil, paint or similiar sketches done in the field (again, the image must have been done with period technology only).

    Submission Guidelines:

    1) If you have submitted an image within the last six months, do not re-submit the image. We will not accept images that have been submitted within the last six months.

    2) We will accept the first ten image submissions only. The thread will be closed after the tenth image is submitted, and any images submitted after the tenth will be deleted from the thread.

    3) Once we have ten images, the staff will select the final three. The final three will then be put up for a general vote to the membership of the forum. The winning image will be placed on the front "cover" of the web site for one month.

    4) Make sure and attach the photo to your post. If necessary, we will crop the photo for the best fit.

    5) The Moderators/Administrators reserve the right to remove any submittals that they feel don't meet the standards of the Authentic Campaigner.

    Let's see those images!

I've tried this one several times before, with no success. Thought I'd give it yet another try.

This photo was taken by Wendell Decker in November 1999 at the first Outpost event in Georgia.

          Folks:

I'm not goint to delete any posts made so far, but if you have previously submitted images, let's give some other people a shot this time - especially images that have already been tried. Thanks!

            Eric,
Sent you an e-mail. If you could help me out with a posting of my picture, I sure would like to submit my tintype for this month. It was taken in Sept. of '07 by Bob Szabo. I don't know if you need anymore pertinent information from me or not, but here is some. Thanks a lot!

            Best Regards,

There you go Marty. Honestly, I usually refrain from posting for others, but I'd like to see some new blood this month and I think this is a good image.

So far, we have eight submitted. Adam, your photo isn't attached. If you load in your submittal, that would be nine and one to go.

Do you have a larger version? That one makes nine, since Adam's does not show up. With Doug's submittal, we need one more.
