    We talked about this some time ago, I think we agreed that it existed but I don't remember if anyone was able to share photographic documentation.

    Anyway, these photos are of a barely worn child's red wool dress from 1850s (I think...I'm not good at dating children's clothes, so please correct me). The dress is in the collection of the Museum of the City of New York.

    The photograph of the eyelets is from the inside (nice pink polished lining!), but they look exactly the same from the other side. The hooks are also attached to the scant 1/2" wide white tape by eyelets.

    The dress is in incredible condition, so I don't think it was worn much, and there is no evidence of post-construction alterations (e.g. adding the tape later on)
