Kathryn Coombs posted the information on the AGSAS website a few years ago. My memory isn't what it used to be, but I thought she had an original that was made from a light colored linen fabric, maybe with wide lightly colored stripes. I know that Karen Augusta had one for sale on her website. She has pictures of it in her archives section.
Personally, I don't know how common these bags were. Kathryn seemed to believe that this was a good alternative to a carpet bag.
