Potter's Patent Paper Cases

I have been studying some period tintypes and specifically the Poter's Patent paper cases most are stored in. Some of the photos have "Potter's Patent [date]" stanped on the side of the case. Does anyone know if all of the actual Potter's Patent cases will have this or not?
