  • Searching for a book

Mods, if this is improperly placed, please move the thread.

I'm looking for a book (I always seem to be looking for a book). At some point over a year ago a friend told me about a book she read that talked about 100's of jobs that women of the mid-nineteenth century held. I thought I had written the title down, but can't find it.

Now that my wife is joining the hobby, she insists on doing it right (god, I love her)! Can anyone help with a book or books on this topic (women's jobs of the 19th century).

    Many thanks in advance.

The Employments of Women by Virginia Penny, 1863. It's online at the Making of America site, and maybe elsewhere too.
