Came across the following link with regards to pottery stamps/markings.
The following link "should" lead to researched publications available on Southern Pottery:
Please note...not all the marks on the aforementioned site relate specifically to our period...but should serve to assist in weening out non-period stamps/variations...
A few years ago, before the crashes...we once had a thread/two devoted to identifying pottery marks/stamps and styles...perhaps this might help to revitatlize that topic??
The following book may also shed some light on glassware pottery originating from the Petersburg, VA Area:
Bottled in Petersburg 1852 -1930 A Directory of the Antique Bottles and Stoneware of Petersburg, Virginia and the Businesses That Produced Them by Vernon Grant
Paul B. Boulden Jr.
RAH VA MIL '04
23rd VA Vol. Regt.
