In addition to the institutional collections we have several private collections to be offered. The collection of William L. Brown III, author of Thoughts on Men’s Shirts in America 1750-1900, will be offered in its entirety, including many, if not all, of the shirts pictured in the book. Additional men’s fashions and accessories not featured in the book will also be sold. To compliment the Brown shirt collection of we will also offer Mr. Browns reference books and several lots of shirting swatch/sample books from the late 19th-early 20th centuries from a NYC museum collection.
