    Re: Carpenter projects

I have very recently received this book as a belated birthday gift. There are no disappontments in it for me. For those who wish to make their own items this book is most helpful. Mr. Hamler has put together a book that not only instructs but shows the reader "how to". The color photos, plans, and layouts are excellent for construction of these projects. What is most helpful to me in the sources section is where to get steel rivets. Thanks A.J. for your efforts in putting this book together for us ! Dennis W. Duerbeck.

I just received my copy from Amazon, today.
Great book, it is time to get in the garage and make saw dust.
Maybe I will wait till it warms up a little more.

If not from Amazon, who else is distributing where we may have better luck getting it?

There is a woodworkers book source that offers this title for sale. It is " The Woodworkers Library". Maybe a quick email to them for availability would be easier then the waiting from Amazon. I know of someone who recently ordered a copy and did receive it in very reasonable time. Dennis W. Duerbeck

Received my copy of "Civil War Woodworking" on Thursday, and it made for good reading during the snowstorm here in PA.It is well-written and has excellent photographs and drawings; the scaled stencil templates for bread and ammo boxes were a nice surprise.

Well done, Mr. Hamler. I'm eager to make some sawdust.

Got my copy two days ago. Well done, Mr. Hamler! Only question I have is this:

You don't list a source for the bucksaw blade you used in your sources. Mind sharing? The bucksaw will most likely be the first thing I build.

                        Well done!

Just received my copy today and it is great. It couldn't have come at a better time. I was starting on a project that is covered in your book. This will help tremendously. Well done.
