    Awesome stuff! I have a blue feather edged platter, that I found in a thrift store , some people do not know what they are giving away! It is a little warped and has some chips and hairline cracks, the mark on the back says ADAMS

      That's a very nice platter.

      Can you post a closeup of the edge and the ADAMS mark? This looks to be an early example and not your typical "feather edge" or pearlware.

      One of the Queen Anne era (AR charge marked) Fulham cups I have in the album came from a church owned thrift shop. $3... no tax.

        Ugghhh...I've bene drooling over one of these for near 2-months now, but the $150 price on it has kept me at bay...sigh

          As soon as I spotted the edge of the dish I grabbed it. :D
          From what I could find out about the mark it looked to be from the pre-1800's

            Yes, 1790 or so. It isn't quite as decorative as I first thought when looking at the initial image, but it's early nonetheless. I love warp resulting from it's being moved while the clay was still green/soft.

            Paul, eBay is the very best place to buy that shell or feather edge stuff.

            Archaeologically speaking, Mrs. Armstrong's cobalt is the most common color found on the Mid-Atlantic coastline. But that isn't keeping me from snatching up all the manganese and green edge that I can find.

              Some of the basic shapes and glaze colors to look for in our period of interest.

              The squat, brown, ovoid jug in the front center is 9 inches tall.
