  • Question: Hymnist or Hymnodist?

The correct term for a composer of hymns is hymnist or hymnodist? As in "...blind
hymnist (or hymnodist) Fanny Crosby wrote over _________ hymns." I have seen the
    term expressed both ways.

There is also the lesser used "Hymnographer".
