  • 4 Generations?

    Although this photograph is a bit after our time, it is a great display of fashions and how older ladies held onto the styles from their younger days. Note the head coverings, hairstyles, neck adornments, and collars. Even more subtle, notice the probable absence of teeth in the two older women.

    The woman who is selling this picture gave permission to post it here.

    Looks like three to me.... Grandmother, two daughters, and a granddaughter....the women on the right doesn't look appreciably (say 20 years) older than the lady on the left.....

    We have a couple of 4 generation pictures, and the 4th generation is always an infant..... These are families back in the 1880's - 1900, Utica New York.

      Nice photo grouping. I'll bet the oldest Lady in the middle could tell us some very interesting stories!
