Anybody have a source for Goodyear or other types of hard rubber buttons. I need (10 ) 1" buttons for a couple of projects and my usual source has dried up.

Re: Source for Goodyear buttons?
David, surprisingly, the quirky buy/sell community site Etsy usually has a pretty good selection. For example, a quick search of "goodyear button" in the vintage category rendered this as the first result.
Usually prices are as variable as the style of buttons. I've nabbed large matching sets on Etsy for as little as $3. But here I go giving away all of my secrets. . .Caleb Miller

Re: Source for Goodyear buttons?
Discovered Etsy yesterday and got excited when I saw those buttons but their not quite what I'm looking for. Favorited this site and will continue to monitor. Thanks for the suggestion Caleb.David Parent

Re: Source for Goodyear buttons?
David, you can try your luck on EBay. Sometimes I'm able to get good sets on there at reasonable prices OR for more variety you can look up Bill Macintosh, he has hard rubber buttons galore.Cheers,

Re: Source for Goodyear buttons?
I have seen some from Blockade Runner Sutler out of Tennessee. They have a website blockaderunner.com They are not 1 inch however they are 7/8 inch and 5/8 inch.
Here is a link to the page with the buttons on it.

Re: Source for Goodyear buttons?
Dan,
From what I understand Blockade Runner's buttons are plastic.
Tom,
Thanks for the advice. That's where I had been getting them. The source I was using had not had sets in a while. That's why I posted on the AC and on the other forum. I have purchased collections on ebay recently to pick up patterns that I have multiples of in order to make sets. You have to get lucky to pick these up though. Sometimes there's competition and they get bid up and other times you can get them cheap.
I actually was contacted by a source who contributes alot on the other forum about sets he had available but than he wouldn't respond to repeated contacts. Some people are flakey that way.Last edited by Mcguire; 03-09-2012, 09:15 PM.David Parent
