Looking for something else I found an article on laundresses during the war by Virginia Mescher. I thought I would share here to increase the number who read it. I think this impression could/should be worked more into static events. We did it at Disaffected in Canada at Fort Wayne Detroit. It was very hot and she did a great job. The men paid her for her cleaning and mending.
