If you are attending, please register as soon as you can. We have to meet a minimum to assure we have the rental for the village and it makes life so much easier when that is taken care of early.

Independence Village events heave been a great experience for both myself and my family! What is full of people who want to do immersion it is a unique experience a Midwestern culture in the 1860s. Please consider joining us for this event as a soldier or as a civilian.

I've been trying to get to this event for a couple years now, and I will most definitely be there in October! I am really looking forward to it, and have some plans and schemes in the works already...

Looking forward to the event! I will be attending as a discharged member of the 25th Illinois. It has been a few years since I've participated in a civilian event, so I'm looking forward to the change of pace.

I always had a great time at these events hosted by the Star of the West Society at Independence Village, IL. & Boonesfield Village, MO. There is very engaging first-person scenarios that have been well-researched by the event coordinator and participants.

If you desire a full immersion event that last for 48+ hours and relish the opportunity to stay in in a first person mind-set, then this event is for you! It's great when like-minded people get together, after compiling hours of research into their characters they develop, and transform their roles into the 1860s community of Pioneer Village.

Re: Independence Village, October 10-13, 2014

This is the last week before the cost of registration goes up! I know the 134th Illinois is still in need of good Illinois boys to serve for a short 100 days!

Dave Gerow needs a few more able bodied men to fill out the 90 day 134th Illinois detachment performing provost duty in the town. Contact Jeremy Bevard or Dave Gerow for more info and to register. If you can’t stay the all three days that is ok as well.
