Greetings,
I don't know if anyone is interested in learning how to knit or crochet, but the Craft Yarn Council of America has a new program to teach Americans the hobby of knitting and crochet. If you need the basic instructions you can look at www.learntocrochet.com or www.learntoknit.com
The sites are made for beginners with resources for instructions, patterns, a dictionary of abbreviations, and a bulletin board where you can share your experiences. Mind you, you probably will not find any historic CW patterns there, but perhaps some assistance. Several of the threads on this forum have been of great benefit to me with authentic patterns and needlework help.
I am sure that there are probably better sites out there, and certainly the other veterans of this board can make better suggestions. I just thought it might be interesting to those who do not have access to a local yarn shop for classes. Just FYI
Mfr,
Judith Peebles
