Authentics in Ca?

I am looking for an authentic civilans group to join here in California. Can anyone point me in a direction?

When you registered for the forums, you agreed to abide by a set of rules for posting, chief of which is to sign your real first and last names to each post. Don't know of any organized groups as of yet but there are some people here and there that attend big events throughout the state. The recent event at "Gline's Crossing" (www.oakleytactical.com) had some period sutlers with some FANTASIC authentic fair for sale and there were some displaced refugees. Nothing on an organized scale though if that's what you're looking for.

The other fellow is right, the only authentic event around is Oakley. However, sadly that generally does not allow women and so there really isn't much else in CA. Since I've done a period sutler in the past, I was delighted to hear that someone else is doing that too. I'd sure like to meet those folks and find out where they bought their wagon.(I didn't see it, nly heard of it)

There are plenty of events in CA going on, the choice is really yours as to which club you belong to as there are over five clubs going that I know of. All depends on which part of the state in which you live.

If you can't find period events, the thing to do is to be authentic as possible and soon you will get to know others who 'go authentic' and then you will begin to meet for private gatherings and such, or just group-up at the public ones. You'll find 'em, we do exist in CA.
