I've just published two new updates to my webpage:
Texas Baptist, 1858-1861. Not a great deal of significance there, unless you are looking for Baptist discussions on dancing (anti), alcohol (anti), tobacco (anti--chawing, cigars, and dipping), hymns and hymnals (pro), education (pro), some recipes, some local history, the execution of a slave woman, and the drilling and training of very early troops in Anderson and Bastrop, Texas. The reel of microfilm ends before the war really gets started.
"A Revelation of War: Citizens of Hardin County, Tennessee, Spring, 1862"--This is an article I wrote for Citizens Companion prior to Mudloh. It had been on a Hardin County history webpage, but that site has disappeared. I've added it to my homepage to keep it available.
