Is the Atlanta History Center sheer dress suitable for someone just shy of twenty? or is it more appropriate for someone in a more mature age group?

If you're wearing fully adult styles, it's one option for a lovely summer sheer; you might also use your normal basic pattern, and make a half-high lining darted-to-fit, with the fashion fabric gathered to fit over the top.

From the designer's website, the dress is thought to have been worn by the lady of the house (in her middle 50's during the war years); however, this is not a firm ID, and there are other women in the household, of various ages, during the same time.
