In all the posts that wre lost I had asked about push carts.

Some one posted links to plans. Does anyone know the links or have plans for a push cart?

    Thanks,

You might consider contacting the Pioneer museum in Salt Lake. I'm sure they could send you in the right direction.

One of the link shared on the lost thread was to www.handcart.com ... they have a handcart (pull cart versus push) pattern there in the Links section, titled Building Your Own Handcart.

Now that I have some ideas for construction.

          How should I paint it?

I am thinking that I will use it for transport and the occational Chuck-A-Luck game.

            Mr. Foster:
My husband, Mr. Morgan, made this cart. He has also made the wheels rather then purchasing them. I am sure he would be happy to discuss this with you. Please feel free to contact him about this matter.

Thanks, Mrs. Morgan! (Amy, if you're reading this, email Mr. Morgan! :) ) I'm trying to convince my husband we *don't* need more stuff. :)

Oh yes you do Mrs. Clark. :D

It all fits together very nicely. Mr. Morgan's trailer hitch fits the receiver on my van. My van seats 7. The Mormon cart with its high wheels rolls right into the little trailer. All the trunks, commodes, and nested cook kettles fit under the base of the hand cart. Canvas goes over all and ties down. Spinning wheel, carpet bags and bed rolls go behind the last van seat. Guns go on the floor.

Tie an empty chicken crate on top for grins. The whole assemblage will still go through most drive-throughs .

Last fall at Perryville, one feller told me he'd spotted that cart peeping out from its cover on I65 just outside of Birmingham, Alabama, and followed it all the way to Perryville, Kentucky, secure in the knowledge that while he did not immediately recognize the folks inside, he had a mighty good idea that they knew exactly where they were going and would get him to the event site.

If I remember correctly, Mr. Morgan's handcart came in pretty handy when Zane and Alice were packing up to leave.
