  • Hat help needed...

With regards to the Bell Crown Top Hat, I know that there are a myriad of styles available...felt, fur felt, shag...it's confusing to someone who is newer to the hobby. I'm wondering if anyone could help me with ideas on which is the best direction in terms of authenticity in this issue.

Call Tim Bender (an approved vendor) and discuss your situation with him. I have done so myself and found him to be undeniably helpful. Good luck.

      Sir
You can not go wrong with a Bender hat. It has been said here that a quality hat makes your impression complete. Mr. Bender can guide you, especially if you get the chance to see him in person.

Best regards and good luck in the hobby,

        Rick,

I can put you in touch with Tim. He's great to do business with. I've ordered three hats from him and am happy with all. Tim is knowledgeable about which hat would be best for you. He has one that is an earlier style, nicley suited to someone older or passed down, one great for the contempotary 1860s and another great for the wealthier gent. He'll fill you in. See me at the office and I'll help.

          Matt,
Sorry I didn't think to ask you first! We'll talk later.
