Wingeo or Laughing Moon Patterns?

Hello everyone,

While reading my Citizen's Companion yesterday, I came across two other pattern companies and thought to learn more about them. I did a search here, but only found Laughing Moon within a 'shirt' post from Celeste, consequently, I know nothing of what others think about their authentic claims.
I liked the LM patterns, but thought that the men's shirt armsceye was a bit too vertical, just MHO. But are they good or accurate to what we are looking for? And what about Wingeo patterns? I thought their bonnet patterns were dreadful illustrations, but I am being critical. Still, I'd like to know if anyone has tried either pattern company and what they like/didn't like about them. Your thoughts?

Sometimes I wonder that instead of an approved vendor forum we should consider an avoid vendor forum?:tounge_sm I mean really, how do you know what's good if you've never heard of these folks before?

The drafting quality on Laughing Moon's are good, though with the men's things, and some of the women's, you'll need to know what era-specific lines you're altering for, as some of the patterns span (in my opinion) a very large time and small details change along the way which may not be reflected in every aspect of each pattern. Overall, though, the instructions are quite good, and the shapes for the women's 1840s and 1860s dress are very nice.

The men's frock coat has a lot of variations, and good illustrations, though the shapes may be a little simplified from period drafts in order to span the time period (1850-1915) better, and simplify things for the sewist; I think, to accomodate my own DH's shape, I'll end up using a custom-draft from DeVere's, as I can size it to him without a lot of fiddling. The instructions are quite clear, though.

Wingeo--haven't seen them myself.
