Re: What do you look for in civilian events?
I just wanted to let you all know that I was meant to reenact after all. I have managed to work things out so that I could avoid the horrible mainstream event I was going to in September with a much much better event in October. While the event isn't totally great...off in a far field you will see some parade float tent sitters. But I will be off in the opposite corner with a friend having a little mini-immersion by ourselves in an 1850's cabin. Its amazing what a random conversation with the right person will get you in life (ok, so it was more like whine about lack of good events until a friend invites you to come as her guest to an invite only event).
