I have family that has worked at the White House for several generations now, and my wife, in-laws and I went back to visit a family member of mine that still works there.
While I was there, I was able to take photographs (albeit some bad ones due to lousy lighting) of the State China sets... of course, being interested with the era we so love, I took pictures of President Lincoln and President Washington's Official State China Sets. In one pic- the one of the whole cabinet- you can see in the corner James Buchanan's china set as well. I tried to get detail as best as I could.
They are in the White House China Room which is off limits to the public tour.
Hope you enjoy and can make some use of these for your own research and purchases!
