      Hello All,
This one is going to be a hoot!
The park has contracted cooks that are going to do KY Burgoo (if you've never eaten it you are in for a treat) and BBQ. No work this year - eat drink and be merry.
I think Joni is finalizing the scenarios now and it should all be posted by early December.
If you have horses this would be the event for you. It will all be based on the horse sales that took place in Central Kentucky shortly after the Civil War.
I will challenge folks to a race now. I have the best trotting mare in the country.
Mark your calender! This will be a unique experience in reenacting.
      Watch for the full details.
      Your Pard,
      Chad Greene

                Hello All,
I just about have this thing hammered out.
I should have the specifics and registration info posted next week.
I hadn't really thought about a GAR reunion, but that is do-able. Several noted union officers were at these sales (including G.A. Custer who bought horses from the Alexander's) as well as ex-confederates.
If there is an interest in doing that let me know and we can add that to the lists.
                Thanks,

                    Re: Perryville on the Farm

There is a Civil War Custer who looks like the real thing living in Monroe, Mich. I think if you contacted him enough in advance he might be willing to come down and re-enact his role for us.
I tried to get him down for the Brandenburg event, but for some reason Custer and Morgan weren't good friends. I wonder why!

                          Hi Bev,

Is there a yahoogroups group for this event? I tried the above and got a message that no such group exists.

                          Looking forward to the event!

                            Linda,

That is how well my attempt at copy and paste worked. The group is called perryvillecivilianevents. If you don't find it that way send me a private email and I will get you on board.

                            Sorry for the trouble.
