    Free Audio Books

    I found this site last night. It has free audio books that are in the public domaim, taken from project Gutenberg. Many that fall within our time frame. A good resource if you don't have time to read the book.

    Thanks! I've listened to H. G. Wells Little Wars. Heard about that book years ago and never found it in any library. Then I listened to one chapter of a book on the French & Indian War (loss of Louisbourg). Now it's Thuycidides.

      Wow!

      How many times have I longed for such a thing when I was threading a loom or spinning an endless fleece or knitting a garment from h***. Thank you for pointing it out to those of us less savvy--I wander around in Project Gutenburg all the time, but never saw this section.

        Exactly! I've been knitting while listening to Charles Darwin The Origin of Species 8p

        I found this site while doing a search for an audio of the book I have to read for class and can listen to it on my commute.
