    What a great image, Mark. I've been trying to convince my sweetie to have one made just like that! Now I have photographic proof that "real men wore plaid" to wave in front of his face. :-)

      Good looks, kind disposition, a merry heart---and high fashion too??? You can't have it all, Miss C,---besides he's taken WAY too much grief about that yaller camp hat I knitted for him last year. I think he's now totally wary of fashion advice from females.

        Hi,

        Well, I took the Nestea Plunge and bid on it. Guess we'll see what happens! I'm still not sure if this was a bonafide suit or perhaps a stage actor's get-up. Men certainly did wear flashy clothes at times. Check out the vest on this c.1850's (French) guy:
