  • New England Civilian Symposium

The first annual (?) New England Civilian Symposium will be held on February 21, 2004 at the New England Civil War Museum, Vernon Town Hall, Park Place, Vernon, CT.

This one-day event will focus on topics to help civilians improve their impressions through examination of original clothing, accessories, and photographs. It will also feature talks on first person interaction, appropriate and authentic activities/scenarios for civilians. In addition, there will be an examination and review of mid-19th century jewelry.

We are hoping to make this a regular event and hope that we get many interested attendees. If anyone has any suggestions regarding future topics or speakers, please let us know.

We are proud to have a collection of original clothing and accessories on display for study and photographing, as well as many CDVs of men, women, and children.

The day will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. We are asking for a $5.00 donation per person.

If you are interested in attending or receiving further information, please contact:

    Lisa Pereira at oranjkat@aol.com
