With it being the correct time of year for maple sugaring, I have a question as to the way that it is stored. Has anyone found any documentation on maple sugar being made into a loaf? I read through the old thread on sugar cones and found one mention that Hank Trent had posted. I am also curious as to what an original cone mold would have looked like to do this. Lastly, by maple sugar, I am referring to the powderized form that has been produced by boiling it down further.
