  • Cavalry watering horses with civilians on a ox cart in foreground.

Hello all, Is anyone familiar with a digital version of the image of several cavalrymen watering horses bareback in about knee deep water. In the forground there is a picture of a cart being pulled by an oxen with civilians on it. There is also a small negro boy riding on a old nag. That has always been a favorite image of mine and I tried searching in the LOC to find it, but was unsuccessful.

    Thanks

Dan is this the one? Download the TIFF file for a better look. Its titled-

"Fugitive Negroes, fording the Rappahannock River, following the retreat of Pope's Army, August, 1862."
1 negative : glass, stereograph, wet collodion ; 4 x 10 in. | Photograph from the main eastern theater of the war, Bull Run, 2nd Battle of, Va., 1862, July-August 1862.
