Somebody just gave me McCall's pattern set #4745 ("Men's Civil War Uniforms"). I wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth and say "thanks, but no thanks", but what I'm wondering is, how hard would it be to modify these patterns to make an authentic uniform? Or would it be so hard as to not be worth even attempting it?
